Welcome to Brian & Kim's Palos Verdes Homes Association (PVHA) Campaign
PVHA Members have not been represented by an elected board since 2009. This is antidemocratic and has led to poor decisions by the board that are not in the best interests of the members.
We think it is wrong that a minority of never elected board members to ignore the thousands of members who vote each year and then appoint themselves winners.
We think it is wrong to increase fees on members while wasting thousands of dollars each month on legal fees.
We think the Art Jury approval process is inefficient which increases member costs and reduces home values.
We think it is wrong that the PVHA Board cut walk in hours from 24 hours a week to 3 (88%). This makes it more difficult and expensive for members to get project approved.
We think it is wrong that the PVHA continues to sign no bid contracts with service vendors. This increases costs and wastes member money.
We think it is wrong for the Board not to follow its own election rules and then hide the evidence from members.
We think it is wrong not to allow members to review Association documents as required by law. We also think it is wrong to use Association resources to block access to documents all members are entitled to inspect
We think it is wrong that the PVHA lacks effort to preserve the original covenants that help maintain the unique character of Palos Verdes Estates & Miraleste. The PVHA should be leading the effort to fight state interference in local issues.
We support the drive to amend the PVHA Bylaws so that the candidates who run in an election and receive the most votes are allowed to serve.
